Ghanaian dancehall musician Shatta Wale has revealed that rapper Sarkodie purchased eight cars to support his ride-hailing business, Shaxi. The revelation has sparked widespread discussion across Ghana’s entertainment industry and on social media.

During an interview, Shatta Wale praised Sarkodie’s generosity and described it as a genuine act of brotherhood and unity among Ghanaian musicians.

Sarkodie bought eight cars to support my Shaxi business. That’s real love right there. He didn’t even want people to know, but I think it’s something worth mentioning because it shows unity and growth,” Shatta Wale disclosed.

The Shaxi project — short for “Shatta Taxi” — was launched in 2021 as part of Shatta Wale’s mission to create job opportunities for Ghanaian youth through a locally-owned ride-hailing service. The initiative aims to empower drivers and reduce unemployment while promoting homegrown innovation.

Since its launch, Shaxi has expanded operations across major Ghanaian cities such as Accra, Kumasi, and Takoradi. Fans have hailed Sarkodie’s support as a sign of maturity and solidarity within the industry.

Social media users have applauded both artists, noting that such unity could help reshape the Ghanaian music scene, often known for rivalry and competition.

As of now, Sarkodie has not officially commented on the matter, but the news continues to dominate entertainment discussions online.
