Stonebwoy Urged to Apologise to Shatta Wale Over “Deeper” Lyrics
Ghana’s music industry is buzzing again as Stonebwoy’s new track “Deeper” stirs controversy with lyrics many believe were directed at fellow dancehall star Shatta Wale. The song, part of his The Torcher EP, features the line: “My property no go lock for EOCO”, which listeners link to Shatta Wale’s recent issues with the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).
Some critics, including industry analyst Abro, argue that Stonebwoy went too far and should issue a public apology to Shatta Wale. They warn that such lyrical digs could affect his image if fans see them as insensitive. Others, however, defend Stonebwoy, saying his lyrics simply reflect realities in the entertainment industry.
Stonebwoy has since clarified that he has no involvement in Shatta Wale’s legal troubles and insists that his music is inspired by broader experiences, not personal attacks.
